Google Alerts
21.04.2010 | Send to friend | No commentsI absolutely love Google Alerts. Its brilliant.
Google Alerts is a content monitoring service by Google that automatically notifies users when new content from the web, news, blogs, video, discussion groups matches a set of search terms selected by a user or yourself. Notifications are sent via email, as a web feed or displayed on the users iGoogle page.
Users can set the frequency of checks for new results. I’ve set mine to once a day. This means Google sends me an email and notifies me of any new content which matches my search. I’ve put up alerts for myself and my products / company. You too can set this up easily & quickly.
You can see from the above screen grab, I’ve received two alerts for myself. One is from ePhotozine and from Twitter. I can click on the link and go straight to ePhotozine and read what they’ve written or published. This costs nothing and is completely free.
Through Google Alerts I also found the below:

Jason has blogged about Foto SF and here is the text if you can’t read from the above:
“I attended, yesterday, an amazing demonstration of some great software for photographers.
