“The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions”
I usually don’t get very excited by any book launch, however, today I received a pre-launch copy of ‘Enchantment’ by Guy Kawasaki. I’ve not even read the whole book, yet I’m writing this blog post about it. It really is a well written book with great content. This book goes on general sale on 3rd March 2011 and I highly recommend that you go out or go online and buy it.
‘Read this book to create a company as enchanting as Apple. ‘
Steve Wozniak, Co-founder of Apple.
When people are willing to stand in line for hours to buy any device a company puts out, it’s not just good marketing. It means the company has a supernatural relationship with its customers. Or as acclaimed pundit Guy Kawasaki puts it, it’s ‘enchantment’.
Few people are better qualified to explore what makes a brand, product, or person irresistable. Kawasaki is the former Cheif Evangelist of Apple (one of the world’s most enchanting companies), a veteran entrepreneur and venture capitalist, and the author of classic bestsellers like The Art of the Start and The Macintosh Way.
In Enchanment, Guy Kawasaki explains how enchantment works and how it transforms situations and relationships, using examples ranging from corporate boardrooms to a jungle in the Phillipines. This isn’t a guide to manipulating people into doing what you want; it’s about being so likable, trustworthy and visionary that people will want to embrace your goals, and will be better off for doing so.
As Sir Richard Branson recently wrote:
” Guy’s book captures the importance — and the art — of believing in an idea that delivers something entirely unique to the customer. The power of a really good idea to transform the marketplace and individual customer experiences is huge, and this book offers a wealth of insights to help businesses and entrepreneurs tap into that potential .”
Thank you Guy for writing such a wonderful resource and sending me a copy of your book.
